Filming of the “Friends” gathering special has been deferred during the coronavirus flare-up, as indicated by a new report.
The special, set to make a big appearance on HBO Max, was scheduled to film within the next week yet has been pushed back until May at the earliest, per Variety.
The special has been in progress for months and will include each of the six of the main cast individuals in the unscripted get-together that will be filmed on the show’s original soundstage.
No date had been reported for the special’s debut, however, HBO Max is set to launch this spring.
The “Friends” get-together is one of the numerous TV productions that have been closed down during the coronavirus pandemic.
Popular shows like “Stranger Things,” “Euphoria” and “Riverdale” have all deferred production.
Films have taken a hit, too, with the releases of tentpole pictures like “Mulan,” “No Time to Die” and “Black Widow” all being pushed back.
